How we use your Video Footage

We use your video footage to edit and produce a wedding video for you, this forms the basis of our contract with you as we can only edit your video if your’e happy for us to use your footage :)

Once we finish your video, we upload it to our website via youtube so you can share it with your friends and family. If the video contains any truly great moments, SIYW may use selected clips for any future promotional material. If you aren’t happy for us to use your footage in this way, you can email us to let us know.

How we use your personal details

Firstly we need your contact details to send the cameras to you. We will also send you emails/text messages so we can perform our contract with you i.e to let you know when the cameras will arrive, ask you what music you’d like, progress of the editing..etc.

We also collect personal information to help with fraud prevention and detection. 

Information about your phone or computer

When someone visits shootityourway.co.uk, we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior. This includes data such as your location and device type. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the different pages of our website. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not allow Google to find out the identities of those visiting our website.

Sharing your information

We do not, and will not, sell any of your personal data to any third party – including your name, address, telephone number and email address.

However, to be able to provide our service to you, we share your data with the following categories:

• Companies that do things to help manage your booking with us & to get your camera kit to you, such as payment service providers and delivery companies.
• Professional service providers, such as website hosts, who help us run our business
• Independent professional editors. Sometimes we may utilise the editing services of professional videographers not employed by Shoot it your way. They will have access to your video footage but none of your personal data (The only exception being your names)

Keeping your information

We will keep your details on file together with your camera footage/edited videos. This is just in case we need to contact you for any reason in the future or to comply with any legal or regulatory requirements. We can also fulfill any requests from you for any additional copies of the DVD or the raw footage.

Your rights

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. If you wish to be informed what Personal Information we hold about you and if you want it to be removed from our systems, please contact us.

Log Files

Shoot It Your Way follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services' analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement on the website, and gathering demographic information.
